Aubree's game, Lukes new wheels and Papa going home...

Aubree had another great game. She was up twice and made hits both times. Jamie is thrilled that his little girl is 5 for 5 this season.

This last Christmas we gave Luke a power wheel motorcycle that I got at a garage sale. It lasted a month before it broke for good. We felt bad so we planned getting him another one once the weather was warm. So here is what he picked out. He is a wild man on it.

Papa left this morning. He had to get back home and go to work. Boo! We had a great time with him. He was so much help. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Papa! We love you!

Yesterday I was putting laundry away in the boys room. Ryan walked in with his usual smile with this black binder of letters. Aubree made this in preschool last year. I have it out for Luke to look at. I am working with him on his letters. Anyway, Ryan opens the book and turns it to G and says "G" and then looks at me with a HUGE smile! I said "oh good Ryan". I really thought he just knew that letter. He then preceded to go through the whole book getting about 1/2 the letters right. I wish I could take credit for this but I can't. The Blues Clues letter toy gets all the credit. He plays with it all the time. Go Ryan! You can't talk but you know your letters!

Mylee got a hair cut at the doggy salon. I tried cutting Minnie's hair and jacked it. That is why only Mylee is in the picture. Minnie looks so bad I am not taking her to the groomer until it grows a little. Note to self *do not groom your dogs, you are not a groomer*

On Tuesday I had to rush Jamie back to the hospital. His chest was in terrible pain. He called his Dr. and he said to get to the hospital right away. He said it could be a blood clot. Long story short it was not but he is recovering and is on steroids. He is not grouchy though so that's a plus. I heard you get grouchy on steroids.

The Dr. warned his leg would get very skinny. He has a bird leg now.

Well, there is our update! I have been so busy taking care of the family. Jamie's Dad came out because of the blood clot scare. I am so glad he is here. Just having him here to keep Jamie company makes me feel so much better. Our grass needed to be cut and the wood on our porches need to be painted. I threatened to do it and Jamie hired help soon after. I guess after seeing minnie he did not want to risk his lawn and porch. I was just trying to save a buck.Note to self *NEVER TRY TO GROOM MINNIE AGAIN*

Today was Aubree's first game. She was 3 for 3 and was awarded the game ball! Jamie was so happy he called both sets of grandparents to share his excitement. Go Aubree!!!

Just before the game I told Jamie to let Aubree play without her glasses. She did so well we are going to have her keep them off every game! :-)

Our family has been chosen by a mother to adopt her baby!!! Baby is due in August. We (the whole family) met her and her family yesterday. It was a great day. We are so excited and thankful to add to our family. Oh happy day!!!

Dawnette told me to update my blog because she is bored at work. It's been a busy week!

Aubree had baseball practice. I took her and enjoyed watching her in the outfield dancing. I found out after she was singing Hanna Montana songs to herself. She also said she just kept thinking about ballet while she was out there. She likes baseball but she is really is a girly girl!

We went to the zoo this week. It was a fun day of spending $40 on snacks! Holy Cow! When did the zoo get so expensive? Anyway, I think after being there for about 5 hours we saw 3-4 animals. We spent most of our time at the park. I got a year pass so we have a lot of time to see animals! This is one of my favorite photo's. I know it's the back of Ryans head but I love how he is holding onto the fence looking at the elephants. Just before this he took a chip from the random little girl in the picture. She was happy to share or just shocked he helped himself!

My sweet husband

I think word is out by now that Jamie is in the hospital. He hurt his leg at a basketball game a few weeks ago. It just kept getting worse. He had an X-ray done and surgery was needed. He was only supposed to stay one night but the tear was so bad they kept him two days. My dear friend Tina stayed with the kids for a few hours while I helped Jamie check in at the hospital. The next day Tina and Scott took Luke with them to the aquarium. He LOVED it!!! He has been talking about it all night. I am so lucky to have Tina, I think everyone should have a Tina, she rocks :-)! Aubree and Ryan went to our friends the Shreeves. It was so nice to spend the afternoon with Jamie. He needed me there. Hospitals are depressing. He is doing better. He is on pain meds so his pain is low. Tonight Rhonda came over and helped me clean my house. I need a clean house to feel sane. She then said she set up dinners for part of the week. Oh, I am thankful! Jamie is supposed to stay off his foot for 6-8 weeks and then it is 6-8 months for full recovery. Okay, well it is after 1 am and I am tired. If this post does not make since sorry. I AM BEAT! Thank you to everyone who has helped us. It is really touching. I HATE to ever ask for help. I am a stubborn girl but I really did need the help this weekend and I am glad to have friends who just do and ignore my stubborn side. This next week will be great! Jamie will be home and I can handle it. It was just hard having him in the hospital and not having family here. I felt like I needed to be with him but also with my kids. Thanks again to everyone who helped and visited Jamie in the hospital, it really made him feel good!

Little Ry is my only child who has attached himself to a blanket. I call it my good luck blanket. I put it on him at 6 weeks and he slept through the night. He has ever since. I have to wash it all the time because he eats with it and plays outside with it. The nice thing is he has a really easy going personality so if I put it in his crib before we go somewhere he does not throw a fit. He would prefer to have it but goes with the flow. I am so lucky to be his mom!
