Sorry Scott and Jessica, I have been too busy to blog. Here is your update ;-)

Today Aubree told me a boy in her class asked her to be his girlfriend. She told him no. That's my girl! She said her friend likes him. What?!?! They are in grade K! It all starts too early. I asked her why she thinks he asked her. She said because I am the best. I asked why she thought that and she said all the kids in her class tell her that. I told her not to tell people she is the best just say thanks if a person says it to her. Oh, little Aubree, you are so humble!

Tina gave Ryan some of little J's hand me downs. THANK YOU TINA! I put the PJ's on Ryan, he looked down saw is was Thomas and got a huge smile on his face. He then ran for his life fearing Luke would strip him of his new threads! Poor Ryan!

Today was a hectic day! I had so many things to do. Jamie was gone almost all day working (the nerve! Ha,ha!) I let out a few tears. I then took Ryan to get some new shoes and bought myself a few new pair! Ahhh, I feel better now. Tina said it perfect... sometimes we just need so retail therapy.

This is what Luke thinks of my new shoes. I know they are not the next big thing but they are comfortable and I like them!

Saturday, Jamie hurt himself while playing basketball. No one fouled him he was standing alone and um... I don't know what he did. All I know is it's a true sign he getting old at a young age. Okay...*UPDATE* Jamie's family is full a freaks! Well, freak accidents! As I was writing this post Jamie's Mom looked outside and saw a deck with what she thought was snow. It was ice! She walked out on the deck slipped and was out cold! Papa and I ran out to get her. Jamie hobbled out to help. I offered to call the cops! I meant to say ambulance and then Papa told me not to. She is fine and we are all laughing about it. I better go!

Thankful...

This time last year Luke only had about 20 words in his vocabulary and he was 2 1/2. He was frustrated, I was frustrated and I thought he was not ready for preschool the following year. I was reassured he would do fine. Today I drove Luke to school. We dropped off Aubree at her school and then Luke started his conversation with me. "Mommy, I want to play on swings, Mommy ooh I hear a bird, Mommy it cold outside" and then as we are getting ready to go into the school he says "hmmm, let's see backpack...check! Jacket...check! Toy...check!" I don't know where he got the check list from but he has been doing it for weeks now. I think it's pretty darn cute. I dropped him off and told him I loved him and he was off. When walking away it hit me. I have taken his talking for granted the last few months. He has been talking a lot since the 2nd month of school. His speech therapist is awesome and his teachers are too! In the beginning I was thrilled and I still am, but I forgot what struggle we went through the year before. It is always good to reflect and remember to be a thankful person. I got a note home from his speech therapist and it said he showed her all the signs he knows. He is really into sign language and can out sign me any day! Alright, well I just wanted to get this thought down before I started my day!

Running on fumes or sugar...

Last night Luke could not get to sleep. He was so tired going to school. When he got home Tina called to see if he could play with J. Luke was thrilled! Tina said while at her house he packed up a bag of trains and said he was ready to go home. He's a stinker! He loves going over there. I am so glad we have them in our neighborhood. Luke finally has a friend close to us. Well Luke played and played and then fell asleep standing up! When taking the first picture Ryan came running from across the room to get in the shot and then we could not leave Aubree out. Aubree smells like a 80 year old woman right now by the way. She has this perfume that smells SOOO bad. It is from a princess make-up kit. Oh my! My head actually hurts from the smell. Sorry if you are 80 and reading this. Not all 80 year old women smell. Well, they don't smell bad at all it's the perfume some choose that smells. Okay, I am going to end this now and work on getting my foot out of my mouth and then I'm gonna get Aubs in the bath ASAP!

Luke is a lucky boy. He has another family or he thinks he is a part of the family. A great family moved into our neighborhood and little J is his new best friend. They are cute together, they fight and make up just like brothers. His Mom Tina is awesome and I am enjoying having a friend in a neighborhood. Tina tells me our blog has some fans! I wanna give a shout out to Scott, Jessica and umm I forgot the others names. Welcome! :-)

My Dad's the Greatest Dad!

Well, Luke's Dad is. Not saying mine is not, he's pretty cool too! Today Jamie surprised Luke with a train table! He is thrilled and is already telling Ryan and Aubree what they can and cannot play with. We will work with him on his sharing skills...

Let it snow and snow and SNOW!

Ryan and Luke like to stay in on snow days! Aubree LOVES the snow. The first words out of her mouth when she woke me up was "I need help putting on my snow clothes"

Is that what they call them? Well that is what I am calling Luke's new accessory that he has taken over from Aubree's closet. He puts his trains in this small black purse and carries it around. I actually get a chuckle out of it. Jamie does not care about him toting it around until they are about to run an errand together and Luke refuses to leave without his "man bag". Jamie is pretty laid back. He does not care about little things like that.

Little feet close to midnight...

Around 11:30 a few nights ago Jamie and I were in bed watching a little television. We heard a rumble in the kitchen. I got up to check it out and saw the freezer door opened and two little feet under the door. I peeked around the open door and it was little Luke getting into the popsicle's. I asked him what he was doing and he said "oh hi Mommy, I get suckers." (that is what he calls them). Now, here is my dilemma, Luke has charm. His smile melts me. I know I should have said, "what are you doing up?" and "get back to bed" but, due to his sweet little smile I gave him the popsicle and put him back to bed. Aubree was still awake too so she had Luke do her dirty work and told him to ask me for one. Why my children were still up at this time you ask? I have NO IDEA! It was an odd night and they could not sleep. The sugar from the popsicle's probably did not help.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

That is what Jamie sings every year about this time. Baseball is starting soon! This year we signed Aubree up for coach pitch. Her coach called Sat. morning to give us the date of her first practice. Jamie took Aubs out to get her started. She is a girly girl who likes to try new things. She had to make sure her outfit had a matching scarf. She likes her hair down and it was in her face a lot. Jamie finally had me get her a hat. She cared more about posing for pictures than hitting the ball! Luke tried playing as well but ended up going back in the house to watch "Signing Times" it is an awesome sign language DVD. I love it and the kids do too! Ryan had fun chasing all the missed and hit balls. I hope Aubree enjoys learning the sport of baseball. Jamie played through school and at BYU. He really loves the sport and I know he would love it if one of his kids enjoyed the sport as much as he does. Sadly he married a girl who likes baseball but cannot play AT ALL! I have tried, it's not pretty!

My family and friends who know me well will laugh...

I love to goof around, laugh and have a good time. When music is involved it gets a little scary.
Last night our ward had a dance. In the beginning there was a dance instructor teaching some dances. Jamie really wanted to learn. He does not dance but really wanted to learn what they were teaching. It was cute. He is cute. I love him. Once that was over they started playing regular music and it was "free style time." They played a lot of music from when I was in the 7th and 8th grade. Oh no! I did not hold back. It was all in fun and others were dancing too. I really was goofing around but having a blast doing it. Good thing I have a husband who does not care and just laughs and has fun too. At the end of the night I won a prize for something. It was something woman dancer. I can't remember it was craziest or best. Our friend Ryan won for male and man did he deserve it, he was awesome. Another couple won for best couple and they were good dancers. I did not take a picture of myself but I am sure others did because I saw camera's. My ankle hurts today and I still hear Vanilla Ice in my head. Oh what a night!
