Catching my kids hanging out and other stuff...

Aubree has a TV in the closet of her room. I keep it in there because is comes in handy when she wants to watch a movie on peace and quiet. We keep it on the floor because I am a freak about thinking one of the kids will tip it and will fall on them. Late last night (yes, I said LATE. We don't give bed times in the summer) I walked into her room thinking she was asleep and found her and Luke sitting together watching a movie. I love these little moments. She caught me with the camera and had to pose.

Yesterday Tina and Scott took Ryan and Luke to ride Thomas the Tank Engine. Luke was so excited. I was almost in tears when Tina asked if they could take Ryan too. I feel bad for little Ryan. He does not have any friends. He is only two and does not care but I feel bad sometimes. Tina is so good about making sure all my kids feel loved by her. She really is a great friend and a FUN 2nd Mom for the kids. She told me I had to be sure Aubree and I did something really fun. So we went out to eat (Jamie was working) and then we were going to go to 6 flags. I made the mistake of calling party pooper Jamie and he told me it was a bad idea. It was Sat. the place would be packed yadda, yadda, yadda. So we went to the movies and a couple of pet stores. It was what she wanted to do and I enjoyed it too.

Tina said the boys had a great time and Luke even cried when he saw Thomas come around on the tracks. He is so cute! I asked why he cried and he said "it was Thomas" He was just happy to see him.

Aubree had a ballet test yesterday. We ran into her teacher later in the day and she said she passed. I have no idea what that means all I know is we paid $30 for the test. I am a sucker. She is just happy she passed although she has no idea what it means. This whole dancing thing is confusing but she loves it and I am glad she is doing it. BYU dance team here she comes! Just kidding.

It is hard to believe he is already 2. Ryan is the happiest kid you will ever meet. He is just happy to be here! Today was low key. He does not get the birthday thing yet and his only friend is Jansen and he shares Jansen with Luke :-) We had Scott, Tina and Jansen over for dinner and cupcakes. Salena our neighbor came too! It was heart warming for me to have friends there who love my son as much as we do. Happy Birthday sweet baby boy!

Fathers Day

I am sure I am not the only luckiest women in the world but I feel very thankful for a great husband and excellent, fun and caring father to my children. Today we had a steak dinner and then Jamie did his favorite thing...he took a nap! Happy Fathers Day my love!

Name Change

Sorry to all those who liked Davis. The name has already changed. The night we got home from the ultrasound I asked Jamie what he thought of a particular name. I could not figure out where I got the name. He told me it was a kids name in our branch. I just let the name go because we already agreed to name him Davis with Christina. Then very next day I got a text from Christina asking me what we thought of the SAME name I brought up to Jamie. I called Jamie and told him about her text. He reminded me that is the name I brought up to him the night before. I had already forgotten because I am a dork who forgets things :-) Anyway, sorry to those who liked Davis. I am happy for those who hated the name Davis. The name of our sweet baby boy is going to be Braden. Really, we will stick to this name this time :-)

Luke in his underpants in a fire truck! It's okay to call me a redneck for this one :-)

This actually happened a few weeks ago but I forgot to post it. It was late in the evening and the fire dept. was in our neighborhood collecting money for a charity. They let the kids see the fire truck up close. Luke was just in his undies because it was about 8 pm and I had changed his clothes like 4 times that day due to him wetting his pants or jumping in the pool with his clothes on. The laundry pile was getting big so I just let him sit in his undies. Then the truck came around and I was not going to let him miss it because he was in his undies. If we went in the house we may have missed the opportunity. So maybe to some I am a bad Mom for this. In my book I will pat myself on the back. I think I'm a cool Mom!

The results are in! Drum roll please...

We had our ultrasound yesterday. We sat and looked at the heart, the head, the sweet little fingers and then she asked if we wanted to see what we were having. I almost shouted YES, YES, YES! But held back and let Christina give the answer. She tech said can you tell what it is and everyone said oh wow! I was like "what"? "I don't see anything." Then she said "it's a boy!" How could I miss that? I then saw it! I think I was still looking for girl parts. I was in SHOCK! I put on the biggest smile. I was happy! Very happy! I was just in shock because I thought it was a girl all this time and I am usually right. A BOY!! A BOY!!! A BOY!! Jamie said he knew all along it was a boy but did not want to say anything. Rhonda said the same. The only brave enough person to tell me it was probably going to be a boy was Ashly. So we made a bet. I owe her a milk shake. I honestly really, really thought it was going to be a girl. Jamie was smiling ear to ear. I was planning how to tell Aubree. When we had Ryan's ultrasound we told her it was a boy and she was in denial and still told people we were having a girl for 3 months. I called her and her exact words were " What? What? WHY?!? WHYYY?!?" She then sobbed. I told her it would be great that she is still the only girl because we would be alone when it was girls night and so on. She was not hearing it. I got off the phone. I called about an hour later and she was fine. She said "I want it to sleep in my room". My friend was there when she was upset and talked to Aubree about it. It really helped and because it was Tina who Aubree loves she was able to help Aubree accept that boys are great. Thanks Tina! We are thrilled. God knows what he is doing. This boy will be two years from Ryan and 4 from Luke. I hope they will all be close and good examples to each other. We are happy to say he looks healthy and we cant wait to hold him in our arms. 10 weeks and counting!!! If anyone cares we are naming him Davis. Christina really likes the name and we like it too. So we wanted to give her the honor of helping name him.

Van for sale!

Our Van is for sale! If anyone needs one call us! I don't know how much is costs. You will have to ask Jamie. I know, I know I am a horrible sales person. I have been out of sales for 7 years so I am a bit rusty!

This is me before signing the papers for our new van. I hate seeing how much things cost. I freak out. I have never gone with Jamie to buy a car before. He always does it on his own because he knew I would make ugly faces like this and freak out.

In other news I think we only have like 11 weeks left until the baby is due! June 12 we go for the ultrasound. We hope to find out if we are having a girl or a boy! We are sooo excited!
