These Pups are Dang Cute!

The puppies will be four weeks on Sunday. I am going to put them in the paper this week. The kids are loving watching them grow. They are dang cute but I am going to resist and not keep one. Two dogs is enough :-) I have to keep telling myself that over and over.

Down Syndrome of Louisville Buddy Walk

October 4th is the Down Syndrome of Louisville Buddy Walk. We have dear friends who have 2 adorable children who are Down Syndrome. Kendall is 3 and would just melt your heart if you met her. Kallen passed away last December. I never met Kallen but he touched my heart very deeply. To show support to our friends Aubree walked our neighborhood and asked for donations. She gave a candy bar as a thank you to each kind neighbor who generously made a donation. I was proud of Aubree--this was out of her comfort zone but she did it out of her love for sweet Kendall. Ryan's 1st day of Mothers Day Out (play group)

Today was Ryans first day of play group. It meets 1 x a week for just a few hours. We put him in the class because we think it will help him learn good social skills with children his age. I know the class is only 2 hours and 1 day a week but it is hard for me. It is good for him though. We walked into the class and the 1st little guy that came in after us was named Braden (Braden is the name of the baby we just lost). Boo Hoo!!! I held it together though. Just tears in my eyes none dropped to my cheeks. I am sure he is having a great time with him new friend Braden...whaaaah! ;-)

Mylee had 5 pups Sunday morning! 3 girls and 2 boys. Just because I know how much my friend Jen loves that Aubree named Mylee after her sweet daughter we wanted to keep the tradition. We have named the pups Jen, Mike, Owen, Hallie and Luke named one after himself "Luke". As we will not be keeping any of the pups their names will change but for the next 6 weeks I will continue to tease Jen ;-)

Our dog Mylee is pregnant she is a Shih Tzu (<---I am not sure if I spelled that correctly) her babies daddy is a Lhasa Apso. They should be really cute small pups. If you are looking for a family pet let me know! I got the kennel out to get her use to it. I would prefer her to have the pups in the kennel. Our neighbors kids are all in school now so they get bored and play with our kids. This is a picture of our neighbor Freddy playing with Luke. I don't think Jamie could fit in there if he tried...

Wall-E

Tina stopped by today with a surprise for Luke and Ryan. Wall-E t-shirts that light up! Ryan and Luke loved the movie Wall-E. Wall-E is one of the few words Ryan will say. When Ryan got up from his nap Luke ran in his room and said "Ryden I have surprise foe you." (I know Luke is in speech therapy to help him say words correctly but I am gonna miss the way he words things when he gets them right). Anyway, Ryan was THRILLED! He shouted "Wall-E, Wall-E, Wall-E!!" They had to put them on right away. I wanted to get a picture but after 5-6 pictures that were no good they were annoyed with me. So this is all I got! They do love the shirts though. Thanks Tina!

Thankful

Luke has been sick this weekend. I know he is really not feeling well when he tells me to "go away". I asked him if I was bugging him and he would tell me I was :-( I was worried about him not drinking so I continued to ask how he felt and if he wanted something to drink. Today he is feeling better but he is not 100%.

Jamie went down town this weekend to help the people who came to town due to the hurricane. He got home at 7 am. He slept all day. I was excited for him to wake up because I knew he would have some good stories. He told me he got stuck with a crazy guy who did not have his meds. He really thought he came here from Louisiana to help us and not the other way around. Someone stole his shoes and Jamie felt bad for him.

Ryan is getting to be a great climber and he yells at me each time I take him off the counter top. He does not have any fear in him. He walked up to me today and gave me a hug for no reason :-)

Aubree and I went to Cracker Barrel. Just the two of us. We talked about the life of a 6 year old. She loves to hear stories from my childhood. We are so much alike but were very different kids. Aubree is so confident and smart. I lacked confidence. I am so happy she has that in her life.

I talked to Braden's Mom today for the first time in almost 3 weeks. It was a good talk. I still cannot turn off feelings of compassion for her and her family. That is just who I am as a person and to be honest I am thankful I can't turn those feelings off. I am so thankful for what I am blessed with. This whole experience has been hard but I feel it was and is a test. How was I going to let this affect me as a individual and as a wife and a mother? Who am I to not be tested? I am happy to say even though it still hurts I am learning and healing. Life is good!
