Why all the smiling faces???

Our family has been chosen by a mother to adopt her baby!!! Baby is due in August. We (the whole family) met her and her family yesterday. It was a great day. We are so excited and thankful to add to our family. Oh happy day!!!

Dawnette told me to update my blog because she is bored at work. It's been a busy week!

Aubree had baseball practice. I took her and enjoyed watching her in the outfield dancing. I found out after she was singing Hanna Montana songs to herself. She also said she just kept thinking about ballet while she was out there. She likes baseball but she is really is a girly girl!

We went to the zoo this week. It was a fun day of spending $40 on snacks! Holy Cow! When did the zoo get so expensive? Anyway, I think after being there for about 5 hours we saw 3-4 animals. We spent most of our time at the park. I got a year pass so we have a lot of time to see animals! This is one of my favorite photo's. I know it's the back of Ryans head but I love how he is holding onto the fence looking at the elephants. Just before this he took a chip from the random little girl in the picture. She was happy to share or just shocked he helped himself!

My sweet husband

I think word is out by now that Jamie is in the hospital. He hurt his leg at a basketball game a few weeks ago. It just kept getting worse. He had an X-ray done and surgery was needed. He was only supposed to stay one night but the tear was so bad they kept him two days. My dear friend Tina stayed with the kids for a few hours while I helped Jamie check in at the hospital. The next day Tina and Scott took Luke with them to the aquarium. He LOVED it!!! He has been talking about it all night. I am so lucky to have Tina, I think everyone should have a Tina, she rocks :-)! Aubree and Ryan went to our friends the Shreeves. It was so nice to spend the afternoon with Jamie. He needed me there. Hospitals are depressing. He is doing better. He is on pain meds so his pain is low. Tonight Rhonda came over and helped me clean my house. I need a clean house to feel sane. She then said she set up dinners for part of the week. Oh, I am thankful! Jamie is supposed to stay off his foot for 6-8 weeks and then it is 6-8 months for full recovery. Okay, well it is after 1 am and I am tired. If this post does not make since sorry. I AM BEAT! Thank you to everyone who has helped us. It is really touching. I HATE to ever ask for help. I am a stubborn girl but I really did need the help this weekend and I am glad to have friends who just do and ignore my stubborn side. This next week will be great! Jamie will be home and I can handle it. It was just hard having him in the hospital and not having family here. I felt like I needed to be with him but also with my kids. Thanks again to everyone who helped and visited Jamie in the hospital, it really made him feel good!

Little Ry is my only child who has attached himself to a blanket. I call it my good luck blanket. I put it on him at 6 weeks and he slept through the night. He has ever since. I have to wash it all the time because he eats with it and plays outside with it. The nice thing is he has a really easy going personality so if I put it in his crib before we go somewhere he does not throw a fit. He would prefer to have it but goes with the flow. I am so lucky to be his mom!

Jorbabiesdaddy

That is what Jordan used to call himself when he was a 17 year old kid. He still may. Do you get it? Jor- babies- daddy. He is pretty witty. Well, he called Jamie last night and they talked for a good 30 min. Jamie said he could not completely understand everything he was saying but he was glad to hear from him. It was a truck (ford F150) that ran them over. Jamie said he thinks that is almost a blessing because if it were a car it may have drug them. Brenna is still in the hospital. I am just glad things are not as bad as I thought on Monday. They are still bad but not as bad as it could have been. Even in this situation I can see the Lord has blessed our family. They say everything happens for a reason. Maybe it is to teach our family forgiveness. When Jamie asked Jordan about the wedding in May he said it was still on! I guess even being run over by a truck can't stop those kids from getting married! Jordan's head and ear are both jacked up so maybe in the pictures he will have to just have profile shots. Hee, hee! I have to find some humor in this situation, it keeps me from stress. I am just glad it is going to be okay. Now I need to go work off the bag of chocolates I ate yesterday. :-)

Jordan

Jordan was released from the hospital but is apparently out of it. He is in Brenna's room with her. I think she will be in there for some time. They found several fractures on her pelvic bone. Now I am hearing this from other family members so I am not sure how accurate this all is. Jamie's Dad is on his way there and I am sure that will bring comfort to Jordan. I am just so thankful they are okay (for the most part). Jamie was going to go out but, there is not much he can do. He may wait until his Dad goes home and then he would be more help. We will keep them in our prayers!

I think most of my close friends know Jordan. He and his Fiance Brenna Lee were hit by a car last night. Jordan's head was run over by the front and back tire and his ear was ripped off. They are keeping an eye on his head swelling. Brenna's wrist and pelvic bone is broken. They were picking up keys in a parking lot and a kid was speeding through. They are both lucky to be alive. Their wedding date is set for the end of May. The reason I am posting this is for everyone to keep them in your prayers. I am so sick to my stomach. Jamie's parents are working on getting out there (Utah).
